Rotary Locking Latch and Four Sided Housing for High Reliability

The Omron XF2M and XF2W series of FPC connectors incorporate Omron’s enhanced rotary backlock mechanism, providing a more stable and secure connection and reduced installation time.

The rotary locking latch is independent of the FPC socket. This ensures that the rotary locking latch does not disconnect if the FPC is lifted, even if excess force is applied to it. The XF2M and XF2W series FPC connectors also have double-sided contacts, eliminat-ing the need to distinguish between upper and lower contacts when assembling PCBs.

The four sided housing prevents FPC displacement. Delivered with the rotary locking latch open, the XF2M and XF2W dramatically reduce the number of actions required to insert and lock the FPC. Produc-tion operatives do not waste valuable time opening the connector latch.

The XF2M measures 2.0 mm in height, and is available in contact variations from 10-way to 60-way. The XF2W features a height of only 1.1 mm, contact variations range from 5-way to 64-way.
